David Fisher

As a certified business and executive coach, David Fisher enables his clients to think differently in order to capture new opportunities through goal-setting, strategic planning, and one-on-one coaching.

As Principal for Quest Business Partners, David works with motivated business owners who want to make strategic changes in their leadership practices and in their businesses by guiding them to achieve new goals quickly and effectively.

Throughout his more than 30+ years as an executive with top-tier financial institutions, David Fisher delivered results-focused strategies to major U.S. business clients across diverse industries.

David is widely recognized for his deep expertise in accelerating client performance across key indicators, including growing revenue, maximizing financial performance, strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities, minimizing risks, and improving team strengths.

His corporate career portfolio includes 14 years in senior management with the Northern Trust Corporation as:

  • Managing Director, Global Family Office, leading a client service team for more than 60 family office clients nationwide with $100 billion-plus in assets under management.
  • Senior Vice President, Global Family Office, serving as a senior private banker for more than 50 ultra-high net worth clients nationwide.

In a prior role, David was President of the Corus Medical Finance Program. Reporting directly to the bank’s CEO, David led a national specialty finance group and was responsible for all aspects of the program, including P&L, personnel, marketing, and credit activities.

After his work at Northern Trust, David became a Certified Business and Executive Coach with FocalPoint Coaching, a premier coaching and business skills training organization. He became the Illinois President of FocalPoint Coaching in 2019 and established his firm, Quest Business Partners, in 2021.

A graduate of Kenyon College, David earned his Master of Management, Finance and General Management from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

As a volunteer leader, David serves as a board member for Chicago-based Holy Family Ministries and as an Assistant Scout Master, Boy Scouts of America.
